U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Francisco Mateo, a rifleman with Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, provides security on Saaremaa Island, Estonia, May 21, 2022. The 22nd MEU is participating in the Estonian-led exercise Siil 22 (Hedgehog 22 in English). Siil 22 brings together members of the Estonian Defense Force and U.S. Sailors and Marines under Task Force 61/2 to enhance Allied interoperability and preserve security and stability in the Baltic region.
