GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  This MARADMIN announces the FY17 Career Development Information Forum (CDIF). This forum is designed to increase awareness of the Civilian Community of Interest (COI) Program and other Workforce Development (WD) programs available to the workforce.  Commands should make every attempt to provide all Civilian Marines the opportunity to attend one of the sessions planned for the visited installations listed in the following paragraphs.
2.  Discussion
    a.  The FY17 CDIF will take place 06 March to 10 March 2017.  Representatives from Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA) Civilian Workforce Planning and Development Branch (MPC-30) will conduct a series of briefs on the latest WD programs and facilitate open discussions with attendees to determine additional developmental program interests.  Available COI Managers will also be present to conduct one-on-one interviews with community members and provide information on programs and initiatives currently being offered to:
        (1) Develop technical skills
        (2) Manage career paths
        (3) Determine community strategies and impacts
    b.  Locations and Dates

    c.  The forum is open to all Civilian Marines regardless of grade or job series.
3.  The forum will have two “All Hands” briefing sessions presented by MPC-30, as well as a COI break-out session.  Since both MPC-30 sessions provide the same information, attendees should only plan to attend one of the MPC-30 sessions.  The forum agenda for each location is as follows:
