GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The 2023 National LATINA Symposium, hosted by LATINA Style, will be held on 21 September 2023 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, 1700 Richmond Highway, Arlington, Virginia 22202.
2.  The National LATINA Symposium brings together some of the most accomplished Hispanic women in the nation.  The goal of the symposium is to ascertain through round-table discussions, presentations, and in-depth surveys, the status of the Latina professional working woman in the United States.  LATINA Style also provides information and resources for career and personal development.  LATINA Style, Incorporated is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps.  More information can be found on their website at https:(slash)(slash)nls.latinastyle.com.
3.  Headquarters United States Marine Corps, Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) will sponsor 50 conference registration fees and travel expenses for this event.  MPE will fund travel for three days with the authorized travel days being 20 September 2023 and 22 September 2023.  Lodging reimbursement is limited to the government rate and the traveler must utilize the integrated lodging program as applicable.  Commands may authorize rental cars using unit funds.
4.  Outreach events are open to all Marines, Sailors, and Civilian Marines regardless of rank, race, ethnicity, gender, or status.  Requests to attend this event should be emailed to the Branch mailbox MPE_Outreach@usmc.mil via individual’s Officer-in-Charge and must include the following information:  name, rank, unit, EDIPI, email, and duty station.  Requests must be submitted no later than (NLT) 24 July 2023.  Requests received after the NLT date will not be facilitated.  Attendees must have a government travel charge card in their possession and a Defense Travel System profile joined to their respective unit.
5.  Uniform of the day for this event is Service “C” for Marines, Service Khaki for Sailors, and business casual for Civilian Marines.
6.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
