Close-Air Support

Sheyhabad
Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of force to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers and joint terminal attack controllers declared the engagement successful.

Qal-E-Naw
Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The pilots conducted a show of presence over an enemy position to deter enemy activity. JTACs called the engagement successful.

Ghazni
F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of force to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers and JTACs deemed the engagement successful.

Asadabad
An Air Force B-1B Lancer aircrew provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircrew released precision-guided munitions against an enemy target to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers and JTACs called the engagement successful.

Moqor

Helmand Province
Air Force C-17 Globemaster III and C-130 Hercules aircrews flew combat-airdrop missions in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 106,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Oruzgan Province
A C-130 aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Oruzgan Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 36,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Zabul Province
A C-17 Globemaster III aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 88,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.
