GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. THE DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR INSTALLATIONS AND LOGISTICS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE RESULTS FOR THE 2014 MARINE CORPS AWARDS FOR LOGISTICS EXCELLENCE.  THE FOLLOWING PERSONNEL WILL BE RECOGNIZED AT THE MARINE CORPS ASSOCIATION AND FOUNDATION (MCAF) GROUND LOGISTICS DINNER. THIS EVENT RECOGNIZES THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE CORPS' TOP PERFORMING LOGISTICIANS AND ORGANIZATION DURING 2013.
1.A.  THE FIRST LIEUTENANT TRAVIS MANION MARINE CORPS OFFICER LOGISTICIAN OF THE YEAR IS CAPTAIN ERNEST T. NORDMAN, II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE HEADQUARTERS GROUP (FORWARD), II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE (FORWARD).
1.B.  THE MARINE CORPS ENLISTED LOGISTICIAN OF THE YEAR IS GUNNERY SERGEANT ANABELL NEVELS, MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS WEST, MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS COMMAND.
1.C.  THE CIVILIAN MARINE LOGISTICIAN OF THE YEAR IS MR. DANIEL L. SCOTT, III, MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
1.D.  THE MARINE LOGISTICS ORGANIZATION/TEAM OF THE YEAR IS REDEPLOYMENT AND RETROGRADE IN SUPPORT OF RESET AND RECONSTITUTION OPERATIONS GROUP (R4OG), MARINE CORPS FORCES CENTRAL COMMAND.
2.  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL AWARDEES AND TO THE MARINES, CIVILIAN MARINES AND UNITS WHO WERE NOMINATED.  THE COMPETITION AMONG ALL NOMINEES WAS KEEN.  YOUR INDIVIDUAL AND UNIT ACHIEVEMENTS CONTINUE TO EXCEED THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF LOGISTICS EXCELLENCE ACROSS THE MARINE CORPS.
