Satellite Pharmacy undergoes renovation

22 Jan 2009 | Master Sgt. Angela Carmichael

The 375th Medical Group is proud to announce the renovation of the Satellite Pharmacy (Bldg 1948). This project began Jan. 16 and has an estimated completion date of Feb. 6.
This renovation project incorporates a state-of-the-art pharmacy robotic automation package and workflow management system into the Satellite Pharmacy' s high-volume dispensing operation. The goal of our project is to enhance patient safety and improve our ability to provide superior customer service to our valued beneficiaries.

During the renovation, the Satellite Pharmacy will maintain normal service hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday) with minimal impact to patient care or prescription access.

However, to accommodate delivery and installation of the new automation equipment and fixtures it will be necessary to close the drive-thru refill prescription pick-up service through Feb. 6. In addition, the turnaround processing for all refill prescriptions called in before 9:00 am will be increased from one duty day to two days.

During the renovation period, beneficiaries are encouraged to pay close attention to the call-in refill system messaging to determine when their prescriptions will be ready for pick-up.

As always, the Satellite Pharmacy staff stands ready to answer any and all questions or concerns our valued beneficiaries may have regarding their prescriptions. For questions please call 256-7345 or 7335.

The Satellite Pharmacy staff thanks you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during our renovation project.
