Seven Marines with U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operation Command died when a U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter crashed near Eglin, Florida, March 10, 2015.

Capt. Stanford Henry Shaw III died when a U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter crashed near Eglin, Florida, at approximately 8:30 p.m. March 10, 2015. Shaw, 31, a native of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, served within U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operational Command as a team commander. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment ribbon (with two stars).

Saunders, 33, a native of Williamsburg, Virginia, served within U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operational Command as a team chief. His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, (2) Navy Marine Commedation Medal, (5) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the Combat Infantry Badge, and (5) Good Conduct Medals.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action and Good Conduct Medal.

It is with a heavy heart that U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command formally announces the names of the seven Marines who died when a U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter crashed near Eglin, Florida, at approximately 8:30 p.m. March 10, 2015.

Dead are:
Capt. Stanford H. Shaw, III, 31, from Basking Ridge, New Jersey
Master Sgt. Thomas A. Saunders, 33, from Williamsburg, Virginia
Staff Sgt. Marcus S. Bawol, 26, from Warren, Michigan.
Staff Sgt. Trevor P. Blaylock, 29, from Lake Orion, Michigan.
Staff Sgt. Liam A. Flynn, 33, from Queens, New York
Staff Sgt. Kerry M. Kemp, 27, from Port Washington, Wisconsin.
Staff Sgt. Andrew C. Seif, 26, from Holland, Michigan.
