Retired Sgt. Maj. Robert Porter served 30 years in the Marine Corps, which included service in World War II, Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was also the first sergeant major of Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe, Hawaii. Porter passed away at the age of 88 on July 28, 2013. (Courtesy photo)
