U.S. Marines and sailors pull a Lightweight Modular Causeway System with bridge erection boats during amphibious operations training in Mersing, Malaysia, June 13 as part of Exercise T-AKE 14-1. The service members are with Combat Logistics Detachment 302, which is a task organized company tailored to conduct operationalization of maritime prepositioning force assets and theater security cooperation during the exercise. The exercise focuses on MPF ship-to-shore connector proof of concept, military-to-military training, and humanitarian and disaster relief contingency planning, while expanding theater security cooperation with host nations.
