U.S. Navy landing craft air cushions with Assault Craft Unit 5 (ACU-5), Beachmaster Unit 1, conduct runs during the retrieval of equipment and troops as part of a retrograde from D’Arta Plage, Djibouti, Nov. 16. Marines from the 11th MEU are deployed with the San Diego as a part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group as a flexible, adaptable and persistent force in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
