A senior drill instructor from Receiving Company, Support Battalion, welcomes new recruits to the depot during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 15. Recruits are initially taught the position of attention as well as that they will now eat, sleep and train as a team. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 9.
