Lance Cpl. Shane Bailey explains the functions of a M240 medium machinegun to Philippine Marines in Ternate, Cavite, Republic of the Philippines, Oct. 12 as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2013. The Philippine Marines are with 63rd Force Reconnaissance Company, Philippine Marine Corps Force Recon Battalion. Bailey is a machine gunner assigned to Fox Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
