Recruits of Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, battle each other during Pugil Sticks III at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 26. While Pugil Sticks is one of the more popular events in recruit training, it also serves a purpose beyond the physical training.
