Marines and Sailors with Chemical Biological Incident Response Force unit participated in an all hands on gas mask drill on June 7. 2016. at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Md. The Gas Mask Drill was to ensure all the Marines and Sailors are proficient to meet the nine second limit to successfully put on a gas mask in case of any real threat. James Kilby, deputy chief of naval operations for Warfighting Requirements and Capabilities accompanied Geurts during the visit. NICE ANTX 2021, which runs through April 15, brings together private industry, academia and government labs to showcase technologies that incorporate new concepts in naval warfare, such as Distributed Maritime Operations and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations.
