More Information
Despite losing both legs to an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan in 2010, U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Ivan Sears has come back in a big way. Sears dominated a field of international competitors by earning the gold medal in the 100m, 1500m, 200m and 400m wheelchair races at the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando, Fla. The Invictus Games is an international adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill, and injured Service members and veterans.
