7 Foundational Movement – HingePrimary Muscle Groups – Glutes, Hamstrings Secondary Muscle Groups – Lower BackPreparation: The Marine will start in the standing position with feet hip width apart while both hands grasp an ammo can by the handle. They will stand up tall with shoulders blades down and back while maintaining neutral head and spine, making sure the ammo can is held at mid-thigh.Execution: The Marine will unlock their knees slightly and hinge at the hips, keeping the back flat. The ammo can should stay close to the body while traveling down. Once the hips hit the point where they can no longer travel back, the Marine will squeeze the glutes and return to starting position. Common Mistakes: - Rounding of the back - Not letting the hips travel back - Keeping the knees locked out during the movement
