The 48th Marine Corps Marathon is here celebrating participants' honor, courage, and commitment while coming together to participate in many events taking place in Arlington, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Oct. 27 through Oct. 29, 2023. Organized by the men and women of the United States Marine Corps, the 26.2 mile race will draw roughly 30,000 participants, more than 2,000 Marines and Sailors, and 1,500 civilian volunteers. Known as "The People's Marathon," there is no prize money for top finishers and includes participants from around the world. (U.S. Marine Corps video by LCpl. Sean R. LeClaire)
