Religious lay leaders perform an important role as volunteers in the command religious program (CRP). The purpose of Navy Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (NTTP) 1-05.1M/Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 6-12B is to provide the doctrinal support to the commander in appointing, training and equipping religious lay leaders.
