John C. Stennis (CVW 9), at a forward arming and refueling point on San Clemente Island, California, during Exercise Dawn Blitz, Oct. 24, 2017. Dawn Blitz 17 provides an opportunity to train Navy and Marine Corps counterparts in establishing scalable and agile expeditionary advanced bases capable of expanding littoral maneuver capabilities.
