Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Units, Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion 5th Marines launch personnel from the well deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) in combat rubber raiding craft (CRRC) during Amphibious Integrated Training (AIT) exercise in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 20, 2018. Both Marines and sailors participate in bilateral training in order to enhance combat support. The 31st MEU the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU is operating in the region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready crisis response force for any type of contingency.
