U.S. Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 167 fire ordnance over Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, Jan. 23, 2023. HMLA-167 trained during a unit-level deployment for training. The purpose of the training was to increase the squadron’s proficiency in expeditionary close-air support, shore-based operations, and defensive-air maneuvering. HMLA-167 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Caleb Stelter)
