U.S. Marines and Sailors with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division participate in a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Dec. 4-15, 2023. The purpose of a MCCRE is to properly train and evaluate Marines’ readiness while integrating with different units to show core competencies and capabilities in the fleet. This specialized iteration of the MCCRE included humanitarian and disaster relief and noncombatant evacuation operation exercises in support of real world global operations.
