The festival is a long-standing tradition in the spirit of fostering a stronger bond between the U.S. base and the local community. Parachute operations allow 3d Recon Marines and Allied forces to build proficiency in insertion methods including static line and military free fall while integrating with joint special operations forces in the First Island Chain.
