June 24, 2025 | 3:51
U.S. Marines fly Unmanned Aerial Systems during an aerial target engagement simulation on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, June 24, 2025. This simulation is part of MCB Quantico’s Counter-Unmanned Aerial System’s Counter-Drone Team, which focuses on establishing standard operating procedures for the use of kinetic defeat options for law enforcement against a drone incursion. “We have some non-kinetic capabilities on the installation already,” Master Gunnery Sgt. Nicholas Capko, the provost sergeant for MCB Quantico Provost Marshal Office. “One variable of installation protection is how to get after the drone incursions we’re starting to see an escalation of.” (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl.
