U.S. service members and Finnish Navy service members celebrate the Marine Corps 250th birthday with a cake cutting ceremony during Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Dragsvik, Finland, Nov. 10, 2025. The ceremony took place in honor of the Marine Corps 250th birthday and included the marching of the colors, cake-cutting, reciting of the birthday message, and remarks by CLB-6 leadership. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance.
