U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. George W. Smith Jr., commanding general of I Marine Expeditionary Force and Sgt. Maj. Peter Siaw, I MEF sergeant major, give a commemorative message to the Marines and Sailors of I MEF for a year of hard work in the face of a high operational tempo at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 14, 2022. In 2022, I MEF worked with allies and partners across 15 countries to boost warfighting readiness, enhance forward postured forces, and refine innovation initiatives to keep pace with
