1812 Teaching Trunk Activities and Marine-themed Puppet Shows
12:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. - The National Museum of the Marine Corps will hold puppet shows based on Aesop's Fable, "The Tortoise and the Hare" and 1812 Teaching Trunk activities for children, families, and anyone interested in learning more about the Marine Corps. The 1812 Teaching Trunk activities are designed for visitors to see, touch and even try on equipment and uniforms the Marines of that era would have used. The puppet shows start at 12:00 p.m. and will run periodically throughout the afternoon.

Family Day at Moakley Park and DCR Carson Beach
12:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. - Marines will hold a fun-filled family day at Moakley Park. This day will include static displays, sports demonstrations, technology displays, music performances and much more: Cancelled Due to Weather - The Albany Marine Band will perform some of America’s favorite tunes. 1:00 P.M. – 1:30 – Ground Vehicle display and demonstration. 2:30 – 4:00 P.M. - Sports demonstrations by the Marine Corps boxing and martial arts teams, plus Marine Corps working dogs. Cancelled Due to Weather - Marine Corps Battle Colors Ceremony with the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and Silent Drill Platoon. Cancelled Due to Weather - A Marine Air Ground Task Force Demonstration showcasing the Marine Corps' amphibious war fighting capability. Attendees can park at the Bayside Expo Center, adjacent to Moakley Park at 200 Mount Vernon Street, Boston, MA 02125 or take the Red Line on the T to the JFK/UMASS Station.

Mother's Day Celebration and Marine Barracks Boston Rededication
10:00 A.M.- 6:00 P.M. - On the final day of Marine Week all Mothers in the Boston area and beyond are invited to come out to a daylong celebration in their honor hosted by Marines. Marines will re-dedicate the Marine Barracks at the Charlestown Navy Yard, honoring Marines past, present and future. The latest vehicles and combat equipment will be on display, the Albany Marine Band will perform and pieces from the Marine Corps Combat Art Collection will be on display at the USS Constitution Museum. There will also be a performance by the Silent Drill Platoon.
