Sailors renovate Vietnam-era river boat

A Landing Craft Mechanized Mark-8, also known as a Mike boat, transported military personnel in the Vietnam War. Sailors aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni work long tedious hours to get the boat up and running. Marine Cpl. Cheyenne Newman chipped away some barnacles to bring you the story. This story includes sound bites from Petty Officer 2nd Class Orie Everett, Goldsboro, N.C., and Chief Petty Officer Wayne Ditmore, Houston. This story is also available in high definition.
