U.S. Marines and Sailors conduct reconnaissance on Ukibaru island

U.S. Marines with 3d Marine Logistics Group and Sailors with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4 and Underwater Construction Team 2 conduct reconnaissance on Ukibaru island to survey the land for future construction and training. Poseidon’s Watchtower is a multi-domain exercise designed to simulate the establishment of Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations through joint service integration. NMCB-4 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States, ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. UTC-2 provides a capability to support a Fleet Marine Force amphibious assault, subsequent combat service support ashore, and construction, inspection, repair and maintenance of ocean facilities in support of Navy and Marine Corps operations. Sailors with Naval Construction Force (Seabees) provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps, and joint operational forces globally. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
